Great product. The threaded adjusters allow everything from significantly widening the track, to eliminating the camber gain on a lowered car. There is about .6" of adjustability in the design (~1.5 degrees of adjustment). Trimming the treaded adjusters by .6" allows them to be threaded in to equal the OE control arm length. I used the control arms to reduce camber on a lowered 240Z, so I cut .88" off of the treaded adjusters, letting me adjust the camber reduction from 0.5 to 2 degrees.
I read forum comments concerned about the protruding length of the adjustment threads - when trimmed and adjusted, there are very few threads exposed.
Final thoughts on why I bought these control arms versus camber plates or other design arms:
Camber plates widen the track, reducing the tire width that can tuck inside stock rear fenders.
Spherical rod ends are not the most durable for logging miles on street driven vehicles and don't take kindly to axial loads (ie. if they are pulled in to clamp on the strut housing).
The Modern Motorsports design is easy to adjust on the car, and once you have pulled a spindle pin, you'll never want to do so again.
Again, Great Product |
